Human rights • Advocacy • Action

Human rights should belong to everyone.

Restless Beings works alongside marginalised communities through advocacy, activism and dignity-centred humanitarian response.

What we do

We don't just respond. We act.

Restless Beings is an international human rights organisation dedicated to supporting the world's most marginalised communities through advocacy, activism and dignity-centred humanitarian response.

01Advocacy

Changing systems, not just circumstances.

We document abuses, brief policymakers and the media, and press for accountability for communities denied a voice on the world stage.

How we work
A campaigner speaks through a megaphone with supporters at a peaceful street demonstration

02Activism

Turning awareness into action.

Petitions, letters to MPs, public campaigns and events that give supporters a direct way to push for change.

03Humanitarian response

Supporting communities with dignity.

Emergency relief and long-term projects shaped with the communities we work alongside — from Gaza and Sudan to Cox's Bazar and Dhaka.

Where we work

Our work reaches across borders.

From the refugee camps of Cox's Bazar to Gaza, Sudan, Assam, Punjab, Kyrgyzstan and West Africa. Select a place to see what we do there.

Issues

The issues we won't stay silent about.

Each issue connects the context, our position, the projects and campaigns behind it — and what you can do.

  • Statelessness

No one should be erased by a register or a border. We stand with the Rohingya and with people in Assam at risk of losing their citizenship.

  • Displacement

When war and famine force families from their homes, we respond with dignity — and keep asking why.

  • Children

Every child has the right to learn, to be safe and to be heard — including children growing up on the streets of Dhaka.

  • Gender

We challenge bride kidnapping and gender-based violence, and back the women leading change in their communities.

  • Climate

The communities who did least to cause the climate crisis are among the first to lose their homes and livelihoods to it.

  • Livelihoods

Fair livelihoods and land rights — from the farmers of Punjab to women building independent incomes in Bangladesh.

Take action

There are many ways to make a difference.

Most take less than two minutes. Every one of them adds pressure where it counts.

  1. Sign: Add your voice.
  2. Write: Tell your MP.
  3. Share: Help spread the word.
  4. Volunteer: Give your time.

From one campaign to real change

Speaking up before the world was listening

“A voice that could no longer be ignored.”

Restless Beings was documenting the statelessness of the Rohingya years before the crisis reached international headlines — making sure Rohingya voices reached journalists and policymakers. Today that advocacy runs alongside learning centres and health support in Cox's Bazar.
